Few associations are adequately prepared for the opportunities
and threats that currently are, and will increasingly be,
emanating from Internet-related technologies. At risk are
an association’s key dues and non-dues revenue-generating
activities, the attraction and retention of members, and the
overall participation of members in association activities
and events.
Although many companies offer Internet-based
technologies and services to state, regional, and local associations,
most of them do not understand the specific and often unique
needs of the association community.
